NYC Ballet Workout & Pilates: Women & High School Students
NEW! NYC Ballet Workout: The New York City Ballet Workout class combines the fundamentals of ballet with physical conditioning. Ballet technique is used to develop muscle tone, flexibility, posture and graceful carriage. There is a moving warm up, stretching, abdominals, floor barre, and standing center work. Simple combinations are set to the NYC Ballet repertoire. These skills will enhance all other dance study. No prior ballet experience necessary.
Pilates Mat Class*: The classical Pilates system of mind/body exercises focuses on core strength, muscle tone, flexibility and body awareness. Pilates will improve joint mobility, align the body and help create efficient movement, reducing the risk of injuries. As Joseph Pilates told his students, “You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions, and have a completely new body in 30 sessions.”
